I've been bugging Sarah about what she wants to do this summer besides FaceTime her friends and watch TV. She finally declared enough interest in the neighborhood swim team that I checked it out, and of course, registration had closed two weeks prior. No spots left. Then we found out that LifeTime has a year-round swim team, so we had her try out for that. The person who tested her said she was good enough to make the team, but that she might benefit from the Swim Team prep class that they offered instead. 2x week, 45 minutes, training, building endurance and no meets. Sarah thought that would be a good place to start. So here we go!

Jacob's birthday weekend
Jacob became a teenager this weekend. We went to a Frisco Rough Riders baseball game, to Texas Road House for dinner and a saddle ride, and had some friends over for a Memorial Day BBQ.
Sarah took most of the pictures on this day - except for the one she was in. She's pretty good with a camera!

Jag Mile 2014
The Jag Mile is a fundraiser for the high school's cross country team. They invite elementary kids from all the FMHS feeder schools for a run around the HS track. It was great fun and lots of kids from our school attended. Loud music, running through the blow-up Jaguar head, ribbons, free shirts and popsicles!
Ethan
Sarah - who actually ran the whole way. I was very proud of her considering all her issues with fatigue and endurance.
The kids went grade by grade. Here's Lucas about to get lapped by the girl who one the first grade race. She was incredibly fast and finished before Lucas even finished three laps. He may have skipped the last one entirely. I lost track.

Spanish Lesson
Just casually checking Lucas' homework. Had to send a pic to Mark ... just in case there was any doubt. LOL!

Cub Scout Family Campout - Spring 2014
Camp Nault ... yeah, we needed two tents for the five of us. Jacob was on a Boy Scout campout of his own. Mark makes us as comfortable as possible with cots, sleeping pads, and fans!
Dinner, fun and games...
Each group of boys prepared a skit or two. Ethan's group spelled mosquito in this one.
Lucas checking to see if the "ugliest camper" was under the blanket.
After about a dozen skits, the "siblings" got to act one out.
Sarah: "Planting corn."
Boys: "Where'd you get it?"
Sarah: "From all those corny skits you guys have been doing!"
Hahaha! Everyone laughed!

World Fest Olympics Display
I created this display as part of the international festival at the kids' school. It's time to take it down, so I snapped some pics!
The kids helped me make several flags out of LEGOs and Jacob made Germany's Brandenburg Gate.
The Tower Bridge was made by another family but everyone loved it for it's size and detail!
Ethan's Big Ben looks tiny in comparison.
Sarah's Eiffel Tower.
Lucas' Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Wax Museum
The long awaited Wax Museum presentation finally came! First Lady Claudia "Lady Bird" Johnson did spectacular in a cherry red suit conveniently borrowed from the girl who played Lady Bird last year! Sarah remembered her speech well and the Stars & Stripes shoes just made the outfit!
