The last week of school was CrAzY but on Wednesday, the kids all had their class parties. Luckily, they were spread throughout the day so you could park within two miles of the school, and actually get around the building! Sarah's third grade party was in the morning. Here she is with Tiki, her teacher's pet bird.
Bowling with coconuts.
Sarah, Mrs. Ryan and Drisana.
Sarah and her math/science teacher, Mrs. Gustafson.
Ethan's party was after lunch. It was also a luau theme...must have been a sale at Party City!
During his party, the kids made I SPY containers with rice and little toys in a Gatorade bottle. Super cute idea! Look for the shell, look for the starfish, etc...
Ethan and Mrs. Kinney.
Lucas' party was at the end of the day. Ice cream sundaes!
Lucas and Mrs. Piper.
Lucas and Mrs. Giraldo, his Spanish teacher.
Lucas had lost a library book (hardcover, $17!) earlier in the spring and he lost his sling for his broken arm on Monday. Got two phone calls Thursday ... they found both things in the classroom! Hooray for end-of-year cleaning!
This school has been a great match for my elementary kids. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and the kids had a very easy transition. We walk a couple blocks to the car almost every day after school with a big group of other kids. However, on the last day of school, it was raining at pick up time so we didn't get any pictures : (
